It's Tuesday so it is time to update the Tampa Bay Rays Power Rankings. These rankings are a combination of overall importance to the team and a general "who's hot and who's not", mixed with how we currently feel about and perceive each member of the team. It is by far, the least scientific thing we do on this site...

For your JP Howell Avitar, you should use a pic of Spicoli, from "fast times at ridgemont high", it's not as convincing as it was last year since JP cut his hair. But last year when he got called up it was... Staats and Magrane made some comment about it...
I met JP at Fenway 2 weeks ago, really good dude, but definately a Spicoli =)

Love the Rankings - but right now Jonny Gomes is the new Jim Edmonds in my book. He is the guy I am willing to pay money to watch, just like Edmonds for many years. Every at bat, every play is at full intensity.
Anyone catch his comment after he scored the winning run against the Yankees tonight? Q: how does it feel to be a Ray right now? Gomes: I tell you what, it doesn't suck.

I understand why he doesnt play everyday, but he is BY FAR my favorite Ray. The enthusiasm is awesome
