[DELMON YOUNG]
Dude, The Twins Did Not Get A Delmon
On Sept. 23, 2007, Delmon Young hit a 2-run home run against the Red Sox in the 2nd inning. After being traded to the Minnesota Twins for Matt Garza and Jason Bartlett this past off-season, little did anybody know that 8 months later, Young would yet to have hit another. The Twins and their fans were certainly hoping for a little more production from the young "slugger".

We have already made our feelings known about Young's performance in Minnesota (it's not good). However, in light of Garza's 4th win of the season (5th since Sept. 23, 2007) we feel like we should start tracking how long Young can go before Dishin' Out A Delmon to an opposing team. For his sake and their fans, let's hope this will jinx an opposing pitcher sooner, rather than later.

I think after the past two games, all of us Twins fans are getting more than a little testy with Mr. Young. I've been really patient, and I can live without homeruns...but his defensive blunders have had us all pulling our hair out.

I feel marginally bad about his consecutive streak possibly going down in flames, but I'm not TOO upset that he got benched tonight.

Young is doing extremely well compared to another former Devil Ray outfielder: Elijah Dukes. Dukes line is: .143/.279/.184 based on 61 plate appearances.
