NOTES FROM DOWN ON THE FARM
...
  • Mike DiFelice, a modern-day Crash Davis? We don't see it...Yes, DiFelice is an old catcher playing for the Durham Bulls, but he has plenty of big-league experience and these Bulls are a triple-A ballclub, not single-A as they were when Bull Durham was filmed. [Deadspin]

Wait, did DeFelice really pitch 1 inning last night for the Bulls? It's what the box score says. Or is this a regular occurrence that I'm totally missing.

i assume Rocco was out for rest. Today is the last day of his rehab so he will be in the lineup. The team is still probably a little weary of Rocco playing too many days in a row and the Rays face Kenny Rogers on Saturday so i think there is a small chance we could see him in the lineup saturday night...very small
