Tampa Bay Rays: 2008 AL East Champions
The Rays lost (again), but our good friends to the north, the New York Roadkills put up a 19-spot on the Boston Pink Hats.
With Boston's loss, the Tampa Bay Rays have done the impossible...The 2008 Tampa Bay Rays are the champions of the AL East.
First of all...congratulations to every member of the Tampa Bay Rays. From the lowest scout, all the way to Andrew Friedman, Matt Silverman, Gerry Hunsicker and Stuart Sternberg...congrats. You guys earned it.
And Thank You. From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you. To everybody. You guys did it! We are drinking champagne tonight. And we drink it in your honor. Thank You.

I'm from Montgomery and I saw so many of these guys tear up the minor leagues. I wore my Biscuits hat and jersey yesterday hoping to bring a little luck. I can remember learning to sail as a kid and using the vacant Suncoast Dome as a landmark and wondering if it would ever get a team. That was right about the time you guys didn't get the White Sox. It was the same story for us back home. One AA or A promise to relocate after another. But this year has been all about "Former Biscuits." I took my ailing father to the very first Biscuits game in 2004, and now we'll get to see many of those very same guys play in the postseason! Good luck and God bless.
The question now is white sox or twins? Chi has Buerle (sp?) and Danks and we dont play well against LHP. The twins have a lineup that can give us a hard time. I would rather see the twins because we can score against them.

Congrats. Oh yeah!! Woo hoo! You guys have been following the Rays for almost 3 whole months!!!! WOW!!! This franchise is a joke. The stadium is a joke. You guys get like 7000 fans in there, until Boston comes to town and triples that. You're all on the bandwagon now with the absurd disco music and fireworks during intros tonight. No class. Oh yeah, and tell that no-talent ass clown Gomes to blow me. Tampa's franchise sucks. Tampa's stadium sucks. Tampa's fans suck. This is your one fluke moment in the sun. And you can all watch the Red Sox in the World Series...AGAIN!!! TELL ME HOW MY ASS TASTES!!!! Clowns.
