Holy Crap! The Rays Are In The Playoffs
We are not sure why, but for some reason the above image sent us for a jolt. It was as if for the first time it really hit us that the Tampa Bay Rays sans Devil really won the AL East and are really going to play in the 2008 playoffs.
Hank Steinbrenner must have lost his call for a recount.

That's kinda how I felt in 1991. My Braves went from worst to first that year and I remember just constantly pinching myself because I just couldn't believe it.
I'm excited to see the Rays not only make it to the playoffs but win a VERY tough division. I'm so impressed. Can't wait to see how they do against the White Sox!

that is so cool, I was in the batters eye watching them paint that today at the trop. It was WAY cool. One other VERY cool thing was seeing the post-season banners and playoff buntings all around.

I'm good and cranky from being passed over twice in the playoff ticket lottery. Zipcode profiling is all I've got to say. My only hope of seeing it in person is the second chance drawing for Game 5 tix. But we ain't gonna need a Game 5! We'll be rostering a new Game 1 by then.
The Trop is going to be awesome on Thursday. It will be pretty strange to hear the Red Sox guy doing our TV Play By Play. How the heck do these things happen?
